Grace Brethren Church and Schools will host a familyfriendly 2009 Turkey Trot 5K run/ walk at 7:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26 at the church, 2900 Sycamore Drive, Simi Valley.

All proceeds will be donated to the nonprofit Simi Valley Care and Share Food Bank.

The race route will begin at the church and proceed along Alamo Street and down Sycamore Drive to the DMV through Lemon Park to Avenida Simi, circling back to Alamo and finishing at the church.

The cost through Nov. 14 is $30, or $25 with five canned/nonperishable food items. Nov. 15 and later, registration will cost $35.
