Scan Health Plan will host a free presentation with speaker Steve Lehman, manager and health specialist, titled “Beating the holiday blues: Tips for family caregivers and the seniors they love to enjoy some seasonal cheer” at 10 a.m. Tues., Nov. 10 at Sunrise at Wood Ranch, 190 Tierra Rejada Road, Simi Valley.

The presentation is open to seniors, their families and their caregivers and addresses how to deal with the blues, especially during the holiday season. Refreshments will be served.

Sunrise has noted a greater amount of stress and sadness in seniors during the holidays, as well as in adult children who care for aging parents. Causes may include psychological and emotional issues related to family dynamics but also include physical, environmental and social issues.
