PEEP AND SHEEP—Oneyear-old “sheep” Avalon and owner Margaret Gabel, dressed as Little Bo Peep, take a walk around the park in the Howl-O-Ween Pooch Parade and Pet Expo at Rancho Tapo Community Park on Saturday. Later, Gabel and Avalon were awarded the Best Owner and Pooch Look-a-Like medals. The inaugural event was presented by the Rotary Club of Simi Sunset, and included the parade, dog dancing, pet portraits, massages, pet adoptions, and other creature comforts for both pooch and owner. Below, the Judge’s Favorite award went to Simi resident Lauren Funaiole for her dog Jake’s handmade Cerberus costume.
