Waste Management will host a community open house from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. tomorrow, Nov. 7 at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center, 2801 N. Madera Road.

The free event will have facility guided tours, information on proposed modernization and expansion, bounce house and children’s activities, tours of the Pollinator Garden and a demonstration of the falcons and birds of prey that the landfill team uses to control seagulls.

The open house is part of Waste Management’s large-scale outreach effort to encourage community involvement in the proposed upcoming modernization and expansion of the Simi Valley facility.
