Historical Society serves up potluck

The Simi Valley Historical Society will host a potluck for new and returning members at 6:30 p.m. Fri., Nov. 13 at the Santa Susana Community Center, 5005 Los Angeles Ave.

The business session before the potluck will include installation of board of directors, a report on the accomplishments of 2009, recognition of volunteers, changes to by-laws and information about a new junior docent program.

Members who pay their 2010 dues will be entered for door prize drawings.

All attendees are requested to bring a serving utensil and a dish that serves 10 to 12.

The society will provide drinks and tableware.

The alphabetic split for potluck dishes is by last name: A to H, main dish; J to P, salad and R to Z, dessert.

Attendees may dress in western clothes to carry out the meeting’s country-western theme.
