      The Muscular Dystrophy Association will host the annual Simi Valley Lock-Up on Wed., Nov. 18 to raise money to benefit people suffering from neuromuscular diseases.

Farmers’ market will close for holidays
      The Thousand Oaks Farmers’ Market will be closed from Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 26, through Dec. 31 and reopen on Thurs., Jan. 7, 2010. The market takes place from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. at The Oaks mall. Gift certificates in any amount are available and can be obtained during regular hours of operation.
