SENDING A MESSAGE—In recognition  of  Red  Ribbon Week, Oct. 26-30, the Sinaloa Middle  School  PTSA  sponsored a first-ever schoolwide poster  contest  to  focus students’  attention  on  the detrimental  effect  drugs can have  on  people’s  lives. Pictured  with  their  winning entries are, left to right, Jack O’Hanlon,  sixth  grade, second  place;  Michael Phillips,  sixth  grade,  first place;  and  Rebekah  Park, seventh  grade,  third  place. The  entries  have  been  on display all week. Red Ribbon Week is nationally recognized and celebrated each year to remind  everyone  to make a personal commitment to live a drug-free life.
