Ventura County Community College District will host a Teaching and Practicing Green Conference from 7:30 a.m. to noon Fri., Nov. 20 at the Marriott Courtyard Hotel, 600 E. Esplanade Drive, Oxnard.

The event seeks to promote a better understanding of the challenges and opportunities that business, industry and educational institutions face in this new and emerging field. Teachers, counselors, administrators, and business and industry representatives are encouraged to attend.

The event begins with breakfast, which will be followed by a panel of experts disscussing the sustainability movement. Panelists include representatives from Gills Onions, the Green Innovation Zone/Ventura County Economic Development Association, and the Limoneira Company.
