Fall often signals the start of the hot, dry Santa Ana winds, making conditions ripe for rapidly spreading brush fires.

The Simi Valley Office of Emergency Services Disaster Service Worker Team will be going door to door throughout neighborhoods that interface with open space to deliver “Ready, Set, Go!” wildfire preparation program materials prepared by the Ventura County Fire Department.

The materials describe how residents can protect their home, property and family against wildfires.
