“Prayer: God’s Stimulus Plan,” is the topic of a free talk hosted by First Church of Christ, Scientist, Simi Valley at 2 p.m. Sat., Nov. 7 at the Simi Valley Cultural Arts Center, 3050 Los Angeles Ave.

Guest speaker Tim Myers will talk about a spiritual approach to healing economic and financial challenges.

His talk will cover prayer as a stimulus to enhance one’s financial situations, including employment and business challenges, and also as a stimulus to heal relationships and illnesses that might prevent one from working.

The speaker will share ideas from the writings of Mary Baker Eddy, including her primary work “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.” Eddy founded the Church of Christ, Scientist and the awardwinning Christian Science Monitor.

Myers is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship and a practitioner of Christian Science healing.

The talk is a part of the 2009 Prayer That Heals Guest Speaker Series hosted by the Christian Science Churches in Ventura County.
