The Simi Valley Art Association is seeking entries for the 2009 Juried Show. The competition will offer a $300 Best of Show Award and additional prizes for the best in oil/acrylic, watercolor, pastel/drawing, photography and computer art categories.

Entries will be accepted from 4 to 7 p.m. Fri., Oct. 23. The juror is artist and educator Judy Klement.

The public is invited to the opening reception and awards ceremony from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sun., Oct. 25, at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

The free exhibit will run at the library through Nov. 14.

This show is the biggest fundraiser hosted by the association for its annual local high school art scholarship competition.
