PCs available for schools, nonprofits
The city of Simi Valley has replaced a number of its personal computer systems that are obsolete for the city’s software applications. One hundred surplus PC systems, including 17-inch LCD color monitors, are available. The City Council will donate the computers to local schools and nonprofit charitable organizations.
Most of the computers are in working order. The only software included is the Windows XP operating system.
Schools and nonprofits that can use the four-year-old computers should call the Department of Administrative Services at (805) 583-6746 for an application form. The deadline for application is Nov. 6.
