Matthew Zabel of Simi Valley has graduated from South Dakota State University in Brookings, S.D., with a Bachelor of Science in agriculture and biological sciences.

Zabel was one of 240 students to receive a degree at SDSU’s summer 2009 commencement proceedings. He is a 2005 graduate of Royal High School.
