Woman allegedly ran cocaine delivery service
On Sept. 30, the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department’s East County Narcotics Street Team, the Simi Valley Police Department’s Narcotics Unit, the Ventura County district attorney’s office and the city of Thousand Oaks Police Department’s Special Enforcement Unit concluded a two-month investigation of Maria Almanza, 39, of Simi Valley for allegedly selling cocaine.
According to police reports, Almanza was operating a cocaine delivery service which covered Simi Valley, Thousand Oaks and the San Fernando Valley.
Almanza was arrested in Thousand Oaks and charged with possession of approximately three ounces of cocaine. Investigators served a search warrant at her home in the 1400 block of Third Street, Simi Valley, where a small amount of cocaine and currency were reportedly seized.
Almanza was booked into the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
