Quilt Guild will honor friendship
     The Simi Valley Quilt Guild will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wed., Oct. 14 at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. Doors will open at 7 p.m.  The program is Friendship Month. Quilters will view members’ award-winning quilts and participate in make-and-take projects and demos.

      The Americans with Disabilities Act Paratransit Advisory Committee will meet at 3 p.m. Thurs., Oct. 15 at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. The committee meets quarterly to review public paratransit issues affecting individuals with disabilities.

Council on Aging needs members
      The Simi Valley Council on Aging is looking for qualified seniors to fill two-year terms starting Feb. 1, 2010, on the executive board. The council meets from 1 to 3 p.m. the second Monday of the month at the Simi Valley Senior Center, 3900 Avenida Simi. Applicants must be age 60 or older and resident within the city.
