Police looking for public’s help to catch the crooks

Four residential break-ins occurred at homes in the eastern portion of Simi Valley the week of Sept. 21. The owners of the homes were away during the early daytime hours when the crimes occurred.

The crimes involved multiple male and female burglars. Police believe the people involved are well-organized and have a method of picking residences where no one is home.

Police believe the subjects are two or three well-dressed African American females and two or three African American males who wear baggy clothes and have many tattoos. They are likely driving a newer SUV or other vehicle that can carry large items such as TV sets.

The females may be posing as door-to-door salespeople to see if anyone is home. The males then assist them in breaking into the house and removing jewelry, guns, collectibles and electronic items.

Residents who see anyone matching these descriptions or acting in the described manner are urged to call the police department immediately at (805) 527-2911, or call 911.

Anyone who has information that may be helpful to the investigations may call the tip line at (805) 583-6984.
