All smiles for a job well done


HAPPY SCOUTS—Cadette Girl Scout Troop 240’s Silver Award Project was to conduct a food drive in support of Simi Valley’s Care and Share food bank. Over two weekends, and with the help of Fresh and Easy, Vons (on Erringer) and Pavilions’ patrons, the girls collected more than 12 shopping baskets filled with food and personal items. The Scouts completed their hours by volunteering at Children’s Hunger Fund in Pacoima. All nine girls bridged to Senior Scouts during a summer trip to Lake Hume in the Sequoia National Forest.
