In the spirit of the newly released film, “Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs,” Regal Cinemas Civic Center 16 is working with the Care & Share Food Bank in Simi Valley to collect food for those in need.

Patrons may drop off nonperishable food items from noon to 11 p.m. through Oct. 15 at the theater, 2751 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley.

Cereal, dry pasta, oatmeal, rice, beans and peanut butter are the most needed items.
