Gary Sinise leads screening of films honoring war heroes

Award-winning actor Gary Sinise and the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation will present the best movies of the award-winning GI Film Festival on Sat., Sept. 26 at the Reagan Library, 40 Presidential DriveSimi Valley.

The GI Film Festival presents movies from new and established international and domestic filmmakers that honor the heroic stories of the American armed forces.

Tickets are $25 and include access to all screenings for the day and free admission into the library and Air Force One Pavilion.

VIP tickets are $40 per person and include all screeningsadmission, and a special reception with Gary Sinise following the prime time screening.

Following is the festival schedule.

Shorts Block I: 10 to 11:25 a.m. “Spitfire 944,” documentary; “Witt’s Daughter,” narrative; “Kapisa,” narrative.

“Triangle of Death”: 11:45 a.m. to 1:20 p.m. Directed by Folleh Tambah. Contains graphic footage.

“About Face: The Story of the Jewish Refugee Soldiers of WWII”: 1:40 to 3:25 p.m. Directed by Steve Karras.

“Bedford: The Town They Left Behind”: 3:55 to 5:05 p.mAward-winning documentary. Directed by Joe Fab.

Shorts Block II: 5:25 to 6:40 p.m. “A Touch of Home,” documentary; “Where Life Is,” documentary.

“The Way We Get By”: 7:10 to 8:45 p.m. Directed by Aron Gaudet.
