Recalling fast times and fast food


GOLDEN MEMORIES— Wayne Herbert, center, owner-operator of the McDonald’s at 1495 E. Los Angeles Ave. in Simi Valley, greets guests last Saturday during a reunion for employees who worked at the fast food joint between 1979 and 1989. More than 50 former employees took part in the reunion at Herbert’s home, many discussing all the changes that have happened at the burger establishment in the past 30 years.
