The Simi Valley City Council and the planning commission will have a joint meeting to discuss the direction of the Preferred Land Use Plan, which is part of the city’s General Plan Update.

The meeting will be at 6:30 p.m. Tues., Sept. 22 in the City Council chamber, 2929 Tapo Canyon Road, Simi Valley.

The General Plan Advisory Committee reviewed the Preferred Land Use Plan and provided recommendations to the council and planning commission about which areas in the city should be considered for change. The recommendations were presented at a community workshop on July 29.

Public input regarding the proposed changes will be presented to the council and planning commission on Sept. 22.
