Photographer Dan Winters will present a talk on his life’s work at 7:30 p.m. Fri., Sept. 25 at the Moorpark College Forum, 7075 Campus Road, Moorpark.

He is appearing at professor John Gray’s invitation in conjunction with the publishing of Winter’s book “Periodical Photographs,” just released by the Aperture Foundation. His book displays portraits of celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Gwyneth Paltrow, Denzel Washington, Bono, Eminem and Willie Nelson.

Winters, an editorial photographer, studied at Moorpark College under Gray in the early 1980s. His work has appeared in publications that include Esquire, GQ, Rolling Stone, Newsweek, The New Yorker and The New York Times Magazine.
