Aug. 4

At the 7-Eleven in the 2500 block of Royal Avenue, an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with theft.

Aug. 5

A 30-year-old man was arrested in the 2200 block of Lupin Street and charged with domestic infliction of corporal injury.

The following were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs: a 25year-old man in the 3800 block of Alamo Street, a 21-year-old Chatsworth man at Madera Road and E. Bonita Drive and a 43yearold man at E. Los Angeles Avenue and Sycamore Drive.

A 45-year-old man from Torrance was arrested and charged with forgery.

Aug. 6

At E. Cochran Street and Sequoia Avenue, a 29-year-old man was arrested and charged with driving without a license.

An 18-year-old Newbury Park man was arrested at N. Parker Court and Sherman Street on charges of receiving stolen property.

At the Rite Aid in the 1100 block of E. Los Angeles Avenue, a 43yearold man was arrested and charged with petty theft. Another man, 48, was also arrested on the same charge in the same area.

In the 50 block of Tierra Rejada Road, a 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.

During a parole/probation search in the 2600 block of E. Phipps Avenue, officers arrested a 40yearold man and charged him with possession of a controlled substance.

At N. Parker Court and E. Larch Street, a 39-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.

Aug. 7

At Santa Susana High School in the 3500 block of E. Cochran Street, an 18-year-old man was arrested and charged with cutting down, destroying or injuring any kind of wood or timber growing on the lands of another.

During a parole/probation search in the 1800 block of Bishop Lane, officers arrested four men (three of them related) on suspicion of committing a crime for the benefit of a street gang.

A woman, 40, was arrested in the 70 block of Tierra Rejada Road and charged with possession of a controlled substance. A 45-year-old man was also arrested and charged with violation of parole.

In the 2600 block of N. Wanda Avenue, a 50-year-old man was arrested on a battery charge.

At First Street and E. Los Angeles Avenue, a 24-year-old man was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and causing an injury accident.

Aug. 8

At the Costco in the 2600 block of Parker Center Drive, an 18yearold West Hills man was arrested and charged with burglary.

Officers responded to a fight in progress at Erringer Road and Cochran Street and arrested a 21year-old man on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon.

In the 1400 block of Simi Town Center Way, a 24-year-old woman was arrested and charged with burglary. A 19-year-old woman was also arrested on a burglary charge.

Aug. 9

Two Simi men and one Moorpark woman were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs. One incident involved an injury accident in the 1300 block of Hartley Avenue; another involved a hitand-run accident in the 1100 block of Waltham Road.

A 35-year-old man was arrested in the 5400 block of E. Los Angeles Avenue and charged with domestic infliction of corporal injury.

In the Vons shopping center in the 1800 block of E. Cochran Street, a 21-year-old man was arrested and charged with theft.

Aug. 10

A man, 43, was arrested in the 2000 block of Kasten Street and charged with domestic infliction of corporal injury.

Aug. 11 In the 1900 block of Royal Avenue, a 27-year-old man was arrested and charged with committing vandalism resulting in more than $400 worth of damage.

During a parole/probation search in the 2100 block of Denny Street, a 47-year-old man was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

A 40-year-old Woodland Hills woman was arrested and charged with forgery in the 3000 block of E. Cochran Street.

Three males and one female were arrested in the 60 block of Tierra Rejada Road and charged with underage drinking.

A man, 19, was arrested Aug. 11 in the 2500 block of Fallon Circle and charged with possession of narcotics.

DUI checkpoint

The California Highway Patrol based in Moorpark will conduct a sobriety checkpoint some time between 9 a.m. tomorrow, Aug. 15 and 3 a.m. Sun., Aug. 16 in unincorporated East Ventura County.

CHP checkpoints target roads with a high frequency of intoxicated drivers.

The Moorpark and Simi Valley police departments will assist in the effort.
