Instructor Robert Aguilar, director of the Moorpark College Jazz Band A, will hold auditions for band at 6 p.m. Tues., Aug. 11 in the Music Building, room 109. Aguilar is also planning to form combos from within Jazz Band A this fall.

Jazz Band A is a college class that runs fall and spring with a jazz workshop during the summer. The fall class will meet on Tuesday evenings.

The Reno Jazz Festival winner consistently places in the top five among community college bands in the nation.

The band has performed at various functions throughout the county and competes nationally. Concerts are usually presented in December and May.
