The Government Finance Officers Association of the U.S. and Canada has awarded the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting to the city of Simi Valley for its Comprehensive Annual Financial Report.

The certificate is the highest form of recognition in the area of governmental accounting and financial reporting. The award exemplifies the financial leadership provided by the City Council and the demonstration of a spirit of full disclosure to communicate the financial standing of the city.

The city has received this award for each of the past 29 years. The annual financial report is available for viewing at www.simivalley.org.
