Simi summer sports teams scoring big

COMEBACK KIDS—The 2009 Simi Youth All-Stars Bronco 11B team won the 2009 Ventura Pirates Father’s Day Tournament in June, rallying from eight runs down in the championship game. STRONG SECOND—The Grace Brethren Lancers sixth-grade girls soccer team blocked and kicked their way to a league-best six wins, three losses and one tie, placing them in the championship finals, where they lost 3-0 against Heschel. The team also won the SVBL Minor Division title with a record of 21-1.
