Secondhand boutique to benefit community
The Simi Valley Community Foundation, a nonprofit charitable organization, is preparing to open Treasure Hunters Boutique, an upscale secondhand store, to raise funds for the Simi Valley Alliance for Human Services and other community needs.
As a pre-kickoff event for the boutique opening, the foundation is hosting a special warehouse sale from 8 a.m. to noon Sat., Aug. 15 at 67 W. Easy St., Unit No. 133, Simi Valley.
New and gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, small furniture, housewares and office furniture such as desks, chairs and four-drawer filing cabinets will be sold.
The foundation will also collect gently used clothing, shoes, accessories, small furnishings and housewares for resale at the boutique from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Aug. 15.
Items that will not be accepted include torn or soiled clothing, damaged or broken items, large pieces of furniture, appliances or mattresses, undergarments and children’s clothing.
