Here we go again about a "memorial" for the people killed in the Chatsworth train wreck last year. As sad as that tragedy was, I still don't believe it's worthy of memorial status. If we're going to build a memorial for them, then why not a memorial for anyone ever killed in an accident in Simi or Chastworth or wherever? More ... I have lived in Simi for about four years now; I came from the San Fernando Valley. I consider Simi a dead town as far as nightlife. More ... This is in response to letters on barking dogs in the Acorn June 19 and 26. To some of you who wrote in, you are right—as a society we have forgotten how to have a little respect for mankind. What you did not mention is that as a society we have also lost the ability to show a little consideration and to have a little sense of responsibility. More ... |
