Two local pianists to perform with T.O. Philharmonic
      The Thousand Oaks Philharmonic will perform the OPUS 25 concerts at 7:30 p.m. Fri., July 31 at the Camarillo United Methodist Church, 291 Anacapa Drive, and 2:30 p.m. Sun., Aug. 2 at the Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza Scherr Forum Theatre, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd.

September arts festival is seeking entries
      Ventura County visual artists may enter the sixth annual Thousand Oaks Arts Festival from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat. and Sun., Sept. 26 and 27 at Thousand Oaks Civic Arts Plaza, Mary and Richard Carpenter Plaza Park, 2100 Thousand Oaks Blvd., and at The Lakes, the adjacent shopping center.

All the world's a stage in 'As You Like It'
Play Review
      What better way to celebrate the lazy days of summer than with the refreshing, funny romance "As You Like It," as performed by Classics in the Park. This production of one of Shakespeare's lesser comedies is "Bard lite," with the five acts trimmed to just under two hours of merriment (with no intermission).

Local band to play country fai
      Simi Valley-based The Three Rivers Band will be appearing at the Ventura County Fair on Sat. and Sun., Aug. 15 and 16 at the fairgrounds in Ventura. The band will play two sets each night at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m. The band plays originals, classic rock, country and blues.
