Scheduling changes have been put into effect for each of the Ventura County Superior Court's selfhelp centers, which provide free informational assistance for litigants who represent themselves.

All self-help centers will close at 4 p.m. in response to the state budget crisis.

The self-help center at the East County Courthouse in Simi Valley will be closed on Mondays and Fridays. Assistance in civil matters and civil and family law document review will be available on Wednesdays.

Guardianship workshops at the Juvenile Courthouse in El Rio will take place on Wednesdays instead of Fridays.

The other self-help centers are at the Hall of Justice in Ventura and Multi-Service Center in the Colonia neighborhood of Oxnard.
