School Briefs
Melissa Burton, a psychology and information technology student at Rochester Institute of Technology in New York, was featured as an exhibitor at the Imagine RIT: Innovation and Creativity Festival on May 2. Burton is a 2006 graduate of Simi Valley High School. At the festival, Burton presented her exhibit titled "Mural Mural on the Wall." The exhibit encouraged visitors to help paint the walls in the basement of RIT's Liberal Arts Building. Imagine RIT showcased the work of engineers, artists, entrepreneurs and designers, scientists and photographers. More than 400 interactive exhibits and displays were featured at the festival. Zulauf, a resident of Simi Valley, has recently been named to the dean's list at Boston University for the spring semester. •Ashly M. Pezel of Simi Valley was named to the spring semester dean's list at the University of Great Falls in Great Falls, Mont. The dean's list recognizes students who have received a 3.5 or higher grade-point average. •Alan C. Seifert graduated with honors and received a Bachelor of Science in biomedical engineering this spring from Johns Hopkins University. Seifert will begin a graduate training fellowship in the Howard Hughes Medical Institute and National Institute of Biomedical Imaging and Bioengineering Interfaces PhD Program in Biomedical Imaging at the University of Pennsylvania in August. He has received the Interfaces Fellowship to fully support his studies in the bioengineering graduate group. Seifert, son of David and Julie Seifert of Simi Valley, is a 2005 graduate of Royal High School. |
