St. Rose's 60th annual Family Carnival coming up

St Rose of Lima Catholic Church will present the 60th annual Family Carnival July 10 to 12 on the school grounds at 1305 Royal Ave., Simi Valley. Overflow parking is available at Royal High School across the street.

Hours are 6 to 11 p.m. Fri., July 10 and 2 to 11 p.m. Sat. and Sun., July 11 and 12.

Ventura County radio station KHAY 100.7 will broadcast live from the carnival on Saturday afternoon.

The event will feature food and a variety of desserts, midway rides and games, cash raffle prizes, a beer garden, wine tasting and a used book store.

Featured entertainers are Dave Storm and the Thundercreek Band, salsa dancers, Claddagh Irish Dancers, Pacific Coast Highlanders playing traditional bagpipe music, the Na Hoaloha O Polynesian Dancers with fire dancers, Cielo Azul playing classical mariachi music and the Spirit Cloggers.

Admission is $2 for adults and free for children 12 and under and seniors 65 and over.

Free admission is available between 2 and 5 p.m. Saturday.

Raffle tickets are $1.

St. Rose of Lima School is a Catholic high school preparatory institution with 263 students serving Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas.
