The Tea Party and mixed groups that demonstrate against high taxes and big government will be meeting for a fun time July 4 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Conejo Community Park in Thousand Oaks.

As always, bring your nonpartisan signs, enthusiasm, good sense and manners to the park. Pack a lunch, a blanket and bring the kids.

The Conejo Recreation and Park District will be having a Concert in the Park with the Conejo Pops performing patriotic music at 5 p.m. Later we'll see the fireworks.

Let's educate our neighbors and send a message to Washington. We don't want to put our children in heavy debt and end up with a socialist America.
