Chamber lunch to discuss resources for small business

The Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce monthly Business Development Luncheon will address small business development at 11:30 a.m. Wed., July 15 at Lost Canyons Golf Club, 3301 Lost Canyons Drive, Simi Valley.

The guest panelists will be Barry Kraus, business adviser for SCORE, and Bruce Stenslie, president/CEO of Economic Development Collaborative-Ventura County.

Krauss and Stenslie will both discuss the various resources available for small business owners through their organizations.

Krauss will provide an overview of the SCORE organization, its mission and services offered, and also tools and tactics to help business owners survive the current economic crisis.

Stenslie's presentation will outline the free services accessible to small business owners from his organization, including loan programs and assistance with employment and wage issues.

Admission for the luncheon is $20 per member in advance. Cost at the door is $25 members and $35 nonmembers.

Reservation deadline is Mon., July 13.
