The Rev. Budi Wardhana was recently ordained a priest and has been assigned to his first parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Simi Valley.

Wardhana was born in 1975 in Jakarta, Indonesia to Indrawan Jusuf and Elisa Maliwa.

The priest was educated at Marsudirini Elementary School and Kanisius Jesuit High School, both in Jakarta.

He has a bachelor's degree in business from University of Brawijaya, Malang, Indonesia and an MBA in marketing from Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio.

Before entering the priesthood, Wardhana was an entrepreneur with an online Indonesian grocery store.

His home parishes are St. Stephen of Monterey Park and St. Luke of Temple City.

Wardhana completed his theological formation at St. John's Seminary in Camarillo this year.
