For the first time in their professional careers, brothers and former Simi Valley High stars Jeff and Jered Weaver are scheduled to pitch against each other Saturday night.

Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Jeff Weaver will square off against his younger brother and Los Angeles Angels pitcher Jered Weaver at 6:05 p.m. at Angels Stadium.

The Weavers are enjoying strong seasons with their respective squads.

In his ninth season, Jeff Weaver is 3-1 with a 3.75 ERA. He won a World Series title with St. Louis in 2006.

Jered Weaver has won his last four starts for the Angels and is 7-2 with 74 strikeouts and a 2.08 ERA.

The game will be televised by Fox Prime Ticket and broadcast on radio by KABC 790.
