New animal rescue group serves smaller breeds

2009-06-19 / Community

Tiny Loving Canines (TLC) has joined other animal welfare organizations in Simi Valley.

TLC is a dog rescue organization which specializes in small breeds under 15 pounds. Its founders have more than 30 years of experience in rescuing and rehabilitating dogs.

In today's economy, when many families find they must surrender their pets to shelters, TLC helps to find homes for some of these animals.

The organization rescues small breeds from Greater Los Angeles and Ventura County shelters and puts them in foster homes. The dogs are spayed or neutered, upto-date on shots, microchipped and licensed in Ventura County.

TLC has weekly adoptions from noon to 3 p.m. Saturdays at Petco, 742 New Los Angeles Ave., Moorpark. Dogs available for adoption can be seen at www.tinylovingcanines.org.

Adoption applications are available on the website and can be faxed to (805) 578-2604. Credit cards are accepted for adoptions.

For more information, call (805) 405-2765 or e-mail tinylovingcanine@aol.com.
