Nosy neighbor should butt out
      This note is to the neighbor that lives seven doors down from Yvonne Moran: Get a life! (letters, Acorn , June 12) I admire Yvonne for what she is doing to help support her family to be a stay-at-home mom. Would you rather she apply for Medi-Cal, food stamps and welfare? You would be paying for part of that.

Barking issue is a matter of respect
      I felt compelled to respond to last week's letters about barking dogs. I think the problem is really much bigger than proper pet training and covers respect and civility in many forms. By way of illustration, consider this: What if the noise from the next yard was just as constant and loud but was kids playing and laughing? Not so bad now, right?

      I couldn't agree more with James George (letters, Acorn , June 12) when he stated "No Simi Valley resident should be given unchecked authority to harass his or her neighbor," because that is the status quo in Simi Valley.

      In the wake of the murder of Kansas abortion provider George Tiller, I want to express my sorrow for this sad occurrence and make it very clear that the Com munity Pregnancy Clinic of Simi Valley/Moorpark in no way condones the brutal killing that took place Sun., May 31.
