I read with great interest the rebuttal by our new Animal Control Director.

She states that out of the 25 people who were at the Simi Council meeting only two had requested complaint forms.

Correction please. Only two people who had requested the forms received the forms; all the others who requested forms, including myself, were never issued the forms and our complaints were never registered.

I requested the forms twice and finally had to go to the city manager's office to obtain the forms by complaining to the city.

The animal control officer in Simi Valley made two appointments to bring me the forms and never showed up, even though I was at home waiting.

I called animal control on a Friday and my call was returned on the following Tuesday by a very belligerent employee who took me to task because I inquired as to why it took five days to return my call.

Her answer was, "Well, I have days off, too."

If animal control personnel do not log in requests for complaint forms then of course there are no complaints.

I highly suggest that the new animal director do an investigation into the behavior of her employees before we are forced to have the county supervisors begin an investigation into the behavior and practices of the employees of animal control.

By the way, I am retired and willing to devote a lot of energy to this, since now I am upset by the cavalier dismissal of the citizens of Simi Valley. Many of the other citizens there are also retired and willing to work on this project as well. Jules Rabalais Simi Valley
