Special Olympics Ventura County will host the HEROES Dog Walk tomorrow, June 6, at Rancho Tapo Community Park, 3700 Avenida Simi, Simi Valley.

Registration check-in begins at 9 a.m., and the walk will start at 10 a.m. After the walk, contests and demonstrations will begin around 11 a.m.

The event is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Ventura County, which serves 700 individuals with intellectual disabilities and physical challenges.

Each registered walker will receive an event Tshirt, and all participating dogs will receive bandanas.

Participants are encouraged to collect donations in support of their walk. If $500 in donations is collected, the entry fee will be refunded.

A portion of the net proceeds will benefit Westside German Shepherd Rescue of Los Angeles.
