Huntington Learning Centers and College Planning Experts will host a free college planning workshop from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat., May 30 at the Simi Valley Library, 2969 Tapo Canyon Road.

The workshop will cover SAT/ACT strategies and tips, and financial planning strategies.

Presenters will discuss the differences between the SAT and ACT and selecting the optimal test, setting up a plan and timeline for test prep, top strategies, determining test score goals and how schools use test scores for admissions.

Other topics covered during the event are information on how to maximize aid, increasing eligibility for free grants, new college savings plans, developing a financial plan and FAFSA and EFC calculations.
