The Ventura Community Colleges/Moorpark College Foster and Kinship Care Training Program will present the program "Resilient Strategies for Dynamic Living" from 6 to 9 p.m. Thurs., June 4 at the Aspiranet Ventura Conference Room, 1838 Eastman Ave., Ste. 100, Ventura.

Each foster and kinship care family has dynamics that are affected by the entrance or exit of a child. This class will give the families an opportunity to discover what dynamic strategies can do to help them navigate these times within their homes.

Resilience comes from balancing family and placements needs. An understanding of these needs and strategies will help the families succeed.

The program leader is Dr. Kim Lockwood. He and his wife have been foster parents since 1978. They will share strategies of caregiving accumulated from these years of experiences.

Lockwood has a doctorate in healthcare administration.

The program is free to foster and kinship care families. Three training hours will be available to attendees.

Space is limited, and registration is required.
