Simi Valley Hospital will host a volunteer appreciation luncheon on Sun., May 17 at the Grand Vista Hotel, 999 Enchanted Way, Simi Valley.

Lunch starts at noon, and the awards program will begin at 1 p.m. Hospital executives will be on hand to acknowledge the volunteers for their contributions.

More than 160 volunteers give their time to the hospital each year. This past year, hospital volunteers gave more than 23,000 hours.

In addition, the volunteer guild donated more than $34,500 for educational and patient-care equipment last year.
