Readers tell why their moms are the best

To my mommy, Kristen, you are the bestest mommy and the wooster, and I love you sooo much. We will try to be the best dirty peas' you know. Enjoy your special day . . . Dad is going to take all of us to dinner. The Boys Simi Valley

Mom, aka EE,

What you are to me and my family is truly a blessing. I treasure the special relationship we have as mother and daughter. We have had so many wonderful times together, and I know there are many more laughs, good times and special memories ahead. My sons adore you and to see how they make you light up inside, is more precious to me than anything. You are a huge part of our family, and we love you more than words can say. Have a wonderful Mother's Day, love your biggest fans. K, C and C.

Mother Love My mother lives within me, her love, her guiding hand, the wisdom she instilled when I could hardly understand. She reminds me to be patient with myself and other folk, to stop and smell the flowers, to take time to laugh and joke. She gives me strength and courage to face adversities, and confidence and faith in my own abilities, reverence and devotion to a God she loved and knew. He holds her for eternity, but she lives within me, too. Diantha Ain Simi Valley

My mom is special because she is pretty and funny; she is sweet and cool all at the same time! Bret K., 7 Simi Valley

To the best mom,

We are so blessed to have the best mom in the world. Thank you for always being there, even if we are wrong. We LOVE you, Mom! Madison and Mayson Simi Valley

To the best mom in the world, Happy Mother's Day. Thank you for always siding with us even when we are wrong and protecting us from the big bad wolf Dad. We love you! Brandon, Cameron Simi Valley

Grandma Dee,

You are so special to our family, and we appreciate everything you do for us. You may spoil us to death, but we think that's a good thing! We love you so much. And remember what we used to say when we were little? "I love you to the moon and back!'' Well, we want you to know that the saying is more than true and that we enjoy spending time with our special grandma. Ray, Nikki and Priscilla

My mom is really nice because she buys me everything. She also hugs me a lot—that's what I like best. She never lies to me, and sometimes when I'm scared she'll sleep with me and hug me tight. My mom is really kind to me and other children. She takes good care of me, and I love her very, very much! Tamara, 7 Simi Valley

Mom,

We all appreciate everything you do for us. The heavens must have been looking out for me because they have paired me with the best mother. I hope you have a great day, and to make it even better Ray and I wrote you a poem: The fondest memories come with you in mind Such caring mothers are so hard to find You've cared for us since the beginning of our time And to show our gratitude we wrote you a rhyme

Happy Mother's Day, Mommy! Your loving daughter, Priscilla

Our mom, Vicki, is special, because she has always been there for my brothers and me since day one (literally.) She may be overprotective, but that just shows how much she loves us and wants us to make the right choices. She has always been involved in our lives by volunteering at our schools and coming to our competitions or games. Every step of the way our mom is there. Even though we might not realize all that our mom does for us now, we will when we're older. Thank you. Love, Ashley, Justin and Devin Simi Valley To our Kim (Mommy), Count them, Days fly by, Time speeds, Children Grow, Life Evolves, but there are two constants, Jesus is Lord and our kids are so blessed to have you as a mommy and I as a wife. You are so beautiful and precious to us, and we Love and adore you. Happy Mother's Day. Love, Madison, Sable, Delaney and Charles

To my dear mom Dee,

While raising our family in times of anguish, pressure, sorrow and pain, you faced it all with patience understanding and love. You have shown in so many ways how well you take care of your family before yourself. Mom, you are a good and caring person, and you continue to give, even when you are overlooked or taken for granted. I would like to thank you for everything you do and tell you how wonderful you are. I love you so much! Happy Mother's Day, Mom. Jackie Grasso-Tomasi

Our mommy is very special. She always takes such great care of us, and she even takes care of Daddy. Without Mommy, we wouldn't ever make it to school, we would never have delicious and nutritious meals, and our whole house would probably fall apart. We want to let our mommy know that we really love and appreciate her and all that she does for us. Happy Mother's Day, Mommy. You're the best mommy in the world! Love, Joshua and Jacey Garza Simi Valley

I love my mom. Though I no longer can make her homemade gifts, I never can get too old to tell her how much I adore her. She works hard every day and seldom earns a vacation. Yet, no matter how exhausted she may be, she never fails to reiterate her affection to me. Happy Mother's Day. Diana Muñoz Simi Valley

Dear Mom, Happy Mother's Day, Mom and enjoy your day. I hope you have a nice birthday this week. Don't forget you are No. 1. Love, Julianne Simi Valley Val,

Special, caring, loving, hardworking, generous and helpful are some of the words that come to mind when I think of you as my friend and a mother of two beautiful girls. Our friendship and times together are awesome, and I am truly blessed that you came into my life. We juggle it all—little ones, daily life, work—and we are there for each other, and I could not do it without you. All my love to you on Mother's Day. Love, your PS.
