Actress, breast cancer survivor highlights inspirational luncheon

      About 350 people attended the Simi Valley Hospital Foundation's Hats Off to Women Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Reagan Library last week to raise money for a free mammography program. The event, organized by the First Ladies of the Simi Valley Hospital Foundation, raised $15,000 for the Nancy Reagan Breast Center fund.

Free vision, hearing screenings offered
      The Simi Valley Moorpark Lions and Leo clubs, in conjunction with the Lions Eye Foundation of Southern California Inc., will host a mobile vision and hearing screening from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sat., May 9 in the Farmers Insurance parking lot, on Cochran Street between Sycamore Drive and Galena Avenue in Simi Valley.
