Storytelling festival turns 10

The 10th annual Ojai Storytelling Festival will take place April 30 through May 3 at the Libbey Bowl in Ojai.

The event is produced by the nonprofit organization Performances to Grow On.

Featured performers are poet Glenis Redmond, blues musician Scott Ainslie, shadow master Leland Faulkner, deaf storyteller Peter Cook, Donald Davis, Carmen Deedy and Niall de Burca of Ireland. The master of ceremonies is Jim Cogan.

Attendees may hear a variety of stories from many lands, including tales of suspense, humor, adventure, traditional folktales and original creations.

The festival is geared for a general audience but some events are for children. "Naughty Tales" is an adults-only late night concert.
