Vet suspected of theft picked up in Northern California
Simi Valley police traveled more than 300 miles earlier this month to arrest a man suspected of ripping off a local veterinary clinic.
Karanbir Singh Dosanjh, 28, was arrested by Simi officers on April 8 in Tracy, Calif., on charges of burglary and grand theft from the Alamo Veterinary Clinic at 2767 Tapo St., Simi Valley.
Dosanjh is a traveling veterinarian and he was working parttime at the clinic earlier this year.
After he was terminated from the clinic in March, Dosanjh stole approximately $15,000 worth of animal surgical supplies, drugs and miscellaneous items, police said.
He left Simi Valley and returned to Tracy. Police obtained a warrant to search Dosanjh's home there, and they found all of the stolen property, which filled the entire trunk and rear seat of a police car.
The suspect was transported back to Simi Valley and booked at the Ventura County Jail.
