Ed. Foundation offers variety of scholarships to qualifying students

One student is chosen from each of the four local high schools and one from Moorpark College

Each year, the Simi Valley Education Foundation grants five students scholarships so that they can attend college, technical or vocational schools.

One student is chosen from each of the four local high schools and one from Moorpark College.

In addition, the foundation awards two-year scholarships for Moorpark College to three seniors from Simi Valley Unified School District.

This endowment program was established to honor the wishes of the original donor to provide community college scholarships for students who cannot afford to fund their own education.

These two-year scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate a strong desire to succeed by obtaining a college education.

Applications are available at each of the four Simi Valley high schools at the Career Center technician/counselor office.

The deadline to apply for scholarships is Fri., May 1.

Applications for the twoyear endowment scholarship are due Fri., May 8.

Students are to submit applications to the Career Center technician/counselor at their high schools.

Applications are also available online at www.svef.org/ scholarships.shtml.
