Poker tournament, casino night gives card players a chance to win big in T.O.
The second annual Kiwanis of Thousand Oaks Foundation Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament and Casino Night is Sun., April 19 at The Canyon in Agoura Hills. Registration and lessons begin at 4 p.m., buffet dinner starts at 4:30 p.m., tournament and casino games begin at 5 p.m., and a great live auction is set for 6:15 p.m.
The tournament winner will receive a 37-inch Toshiba LCD HDTV and a complimentary buy-in to Pechanga Resort and Casino's "Big Showdown Poker Tournament" the next weekend on Sat, April 26. The package includes three days and two nights of accommodations, and $100 fine dining and $50 casual dining certificates. This package is nontransferable.
Hundreds of players travel each month to Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, Calif. to play in the Big Showdown Tournaments where they compete for their dream of the top prize, a free ($10,000) buy-in to the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event in Las Vegas next year.
There are also runner-up prizes for the remaining eight final-table finishers.
The registration fee to have dinner and enjoy the non-poker casino tables and live auction is only $40. The poker buy-in is an additional $100 for $10,000 in poker chip play dough.
Receive a group discount waiving the $40 registration fee for each player by registering a group of five or more players. Or if you register a full table of nine players youplay poker for free.
