Grace Brethren athletes honored

Many Grace Brethren studentathletes were honored by the Frontier League for their efforts during the 2008-09 winter season.

In boys' basketball, Zech Hogan was a first-team all-league selection for the Lancers.

Hogan's teammate, Matt Riley, made the Frontier's secondteam list, while Kevin Ramay, Ryan Curnel and Brandon Pullen were all honorable mention.

For girls' hoops, Grace Brethren's Jena Conley was firstteam all-league.

Taylor Kaloi and Jamie Garcia were second-team choices, and Kassy Dunn earned honorable mention.

Moving on to boys' soccer, Quinn Ellis was the Frontier's Defensive Player of the Year.

Don Kreitz and Nick Frumkin made the first team, while Spencer Josif, Jared Cruise and Camron Chupp are all secondteam choices.

Luke Bender, Timmy Schwochert and David Losie made honorable mention for boys' soccer at GBHS.

In girls' soccer, Meghan Reno is the league's Defensive Player of the Year. She was a standout for the Lancers all season long.

First-team all-league picks from GBHS include Samantha Romero, Gabby Arnone and Jenny Gomez.

Janine Marderian and Jenny Brown made the second team.

In addition, Devin Palladino and Hayley Johnson were honorable mention on the pitch for Grace Brethren.
